In addtion to program at Gurdwara Sahib, every Sunday,  there will be a live telecast of Keertan from Gurdwara Sahib from 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM  by Bhai Iqbal Singh Ji and Jatha. The link to the live cast will be shared with Sangat via email ahead of the program and will be posted on the Gurdwara Sahib website (www.migurdwara.com) as well.

Safety Guidelines

It’s entire Sangat’s moral duty to try to keep themselves as well as everyone surrounding safe. As such, Sangat is requested to follow these guidelines:

Sangat members should stay home and rest if they or a loved one is not feeling well or has been exposed to the virus.

During any programs that are scheduled at the Gurdwara Sahib, Sangat be limited to 30 households in big Diwan Hall until next phase.

Anybody entering the Gurdwara Sahib must wear a mask in order to protect the Gurdwara Sevadars and the Sangat. Please bring your own mask.

Please wash your hands with soap & water after entering and before leaving the building.

Keep at least six feet difference at all times while inside Gurdwara Sahib including inside Diwan Hall.

Please follow signs and information on posters.

  1. Access Restrictions:

2.1         “At Risk” persons to refrain from participating in gatherings at the Gurdwara.

This “AT RISK” group of people includes Sangat members who have any of the following:

Age 65 or older

People who live in a nursing care or long-term facility

OR are under the age of 65 and have any of the following conditions:

Chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma

Heart conditions

Immunocompromised (on chronic steroid medications, undergoing cancer treatment, recipient of an organ transplant, etc.)

Severe obesity

Diabetes

Chronic kidney disease

Liver disease

2.2         Gurdwara Sahib is open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm every day of the week with following restrictions.

2.2.1     Monday to Saturday – Only Front portion of the Gurdwara Sahib including the Chotta Deewan hall is open on these days.

2.2.2     Sunday – Main Deewan Hall is open. Chotta Deewan Hall is closed on Sundays.

2.2.3     Langar Hall, Kitchen, Multipurpose Room (Library) are closed until further notice.

2.2.4     Number of people allowed will be based on social distancing guidelines.

2.2.5     It is important that if you are sick or have been around anyone with cold like symptoms that you refrain from coming to the Gurdwara and seek medical attention.

2.2.6     Kids should stay with their parents at all times.

 

  1. Following guidelines are to be followed by Sangat coming to the Gurdwara Sahib from Monday to Saturday.

3.1         All persons coming to Gurdwara should use main entrance (door #1) for entry.

3.2         Everyone is requested to wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use sanitizer upon entering the Gurdwara premises. Please use appropriate receptacles for discarding used paper towels, tissues, etc.

3.3         Cloth masks and head coverings should be brought from home and worn at all times in the Gurdwara. No one will be admitted to Gurdwara Sahib without a face mask/shield and head covering.

3.4         Please sit in designated areas (white sheets) only. Only members of the same household can sit together.

3.5         Please bow (mattha tek) from your designated area and refrain from going to the front.

3.6         Sangat members are requested to refrain from doing Chour Seva or Parkarma.

3.7         All persons except those who are part of the same household are required to follow social distancing guidelines in the Gurdwara premises.

3.8         Number of people allowed will be based on social distancing guidelines.

3.9         Kids should stay with their parents at all times.

3.10       There is no live program during the week.

3.11       At least one Bhai Sahib will be available to give out Prashad. Bhai Sahib is also available to do Ardaas and read Hukam upon request.

3.12       Sangat is requested to use good judgement during their presence in the Gurdwara Sahib including their time of stay in view of Social Distancing guidelines.

3.13       It is important that if you are sick or have been around anyone with cold like symptoms that you refrain from coming to the Gurdwara and seek medical attention.

3.14       Restrooms in the front of Gurdwara are open. Social distancing guidelines to be followed when entering the Restroom.

3.15       No used items should be left at the Gurdwara.

 

4            The following guidelines are to be followed by Sangat coming to the Gurdwara Sahib on Sundays.

4.1         All persons coming to Gurdwara should use main entrance (door #1) for entry.

4.2         A sevadaar will screen everyone coming to Gurdwara. This will include a scan for fever and questions related to any recent history of sickness, travel, etc. People with a fever of more than 100 degrees and/or recent history of sickness or travel will not be allowed to enter Gurdwara premises.

4.3         Everyone is requested to follow all posted signs.

4.4         Kids should stay with their parents at all times.

4.5         Everyone is requested to wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use sanitizer upon entering the Gurdwara premises. Please use appropriate receptacles for discarding used paper towels, tissues, etc.

4.6         Cloth masks and head coverings should be brought from home and worn at all times in the Gurdwara. No one will be admitted to Gurdwara Sahib without a face mask/shield and head covering.

4.7         All persons except those who are part of the same household are required to follow social distancing guidelines in the Gurdwara premises.

4.8         Number of people allowed inside will be based on social distancing guidelines.

4.9         Abbreviated Sunday Diwan is held from 10:15 am to 11:30 pm with live streaming on You Tube and other social media.

4.10       Sangat is requested to sit in designated spots only in the Main Deewan Hall.

4.11       Please bow (mattha tek) from your designated area and refrain from going to the front.

4.12       Sangat members are requested to refrain from doing Chour Seva or Parkarma.

4.13       All persons except those who are part of the same household are required to follow social distancing guidelines in the Gurdwara premises.

4.14       Sangat is requested to use good judgement during their presence in the Gurdwara Sahib including their time of stay in view of Social Distancing guidelines.

4.15       Social distancing guidelines should be followed in all Restrooms.

4.16       There is no Langar or snack offerings at the Gurdwara during this phase. Please refrain from bringing outside food for consumption in Gurdwara premises.

4.17       Sukka (dry) or Karah Parshad is served using appropriate precautions including the use of spoons or gloves.

4.18       Informational flyers and signs are posted throughout the Gurdwara premises. Everyone coming to Gurdwara is required to follow these instructions.

4.19       It is important that if you are sick or have been around anyone with cold like symptoms that you refrain from coming to the Gurdwara and seek medical attention.

4.20       No used items should be left at the Gurdwara.

 

  1. Gurdwara Facilities Management

5.1         Gurdwara premises and, in particular frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handles, etc. will be cleaned multiple times each day.

5.2         Gurdwara premises including restrooms will be cleaned on a weekly basis.

 

  1. Risk Management

6.1         Gurdwara EC will take appropriate actions in case of any contamination of Gurdwara premises including cleaning and sanitization of the facilities, contact tracing and information sharing with the affected individuals.

 

  1. Review and Oversight

7.1         Gurdwara EC and other Sevadars will monitor ongoing activities on a regular basis and make recommendations for appropriate changes from time to time.

 

Guidelines constructed by the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association were used to plan for the restart of Gurdwara programs.

The Sikh community is exceptionally grateful to the healthcare workers, first responders, postal staff, delivery workers, grocery staff and people who are serving on the frontlines of COVID-19.  These amazing people are ensuring that WE have essential care, supplies and services while they are putting their own lives on the frontline. Registration fee:  $80 per student
We are also accepting students who only want to learn Keertan, Tabla, Gatka.  This is an intermediate level Keertan class.  Fee is $150 per student.

Health Clinic at Gurdwara Sahib – Not Available till further update
Doctor available from 12.00 pm to 1.30 pm, every third Sunday of the month at Gurdwara Sahib to answer health questions/check-up to non-insured sangat members. Please call number TBD to make an appointment.
